Our BOSS AGM is on Sunday and we have two very special guests speaking on topics very close to our hearts, and we really hope you can join us.

What could the Scenic Rim aspire to instead? Circular economy and environmental excellence in practice
Vanessa Cullen will explore examples from Australia and overseas where communities, businesses and governments have pursued circular economy and environmental excellence. Drawing on successful precincts, infrastructure and practical circular economy initiatives, the presentation will look at how regions can retain the value of materials, support local businesses and jobs, reduce waste and emissions, and build resilient local economies.

The presentation will sow seeds of what a positive long-term vision could look like if the Scenic Rim region chose to become known for circularity and environmental leadership.

Turning the Bromelton Area into an Environmental Centre of Best Practices in Australia: It's not just Incinerator or No Incinerator.
Sam McNeil will address the concept of a Precinct of Environmental Best Practice in Australia, whilst at the same time addressing the landfill and financial challenges facing both the Scenic Rim and other SEQ Councils.

Do not just ask: 'Where will the rubbish go?'
Ask: 'Which 30 year strategy creates the greatest total value for the Scenic Rim?'
